History and Background
The name Mbogo was adopted from the famous Buganda Prince “Nuhu Mbogo.” Towards the end of the last century the then Kabaka of Buganda Mwanga was deposed and exiled by the British. Prince Nuhu Mbogo was a brother to Mwanga and an eligible successor to the Buganda Kingdom throne. But his dedication, devotion and commitment to the spread of Islam pre-occupied him. Its against his back ground that we adopted the name Mbogo because as Muslims, we adore and cherish the Buganda Prince.
